Pilot - operated Pressure Relief Valve
 
There are many kinds of advanced overflow valves. The figure shows a typical three-section concentric structure of the pioneering overflow Valve, which is composed of Pilot Valve and Main Valve. The valve principle is shown in FIG. 6.10.
 
In the figure, conical pilot valve 1, damping hole (fixed throttle hole) 5 on the main valve core and pressure regulating spring 9 together constitute the pilot stage half-bridge partial pressure negative feedback control, which is responsible for providing the main stage command pressure P2 through the pilot valve to the upper chamber of the main valve core 6. The main valve core is the comparator of the main control circuit. The upper end surface ACTS as the command force P2A2 of the main valve core, while the lower end surface ACTS as the pressure measuring surface of the main circuit, acting as the feedback force P1A1. Its combined force can drive the valve core, adjust the size of the overflow port, and finally achieve the purpose of regulating and stabilizing the inlet pressure P1.
